We were delighted and honoured to have Minister Darragh O Brien, TD., perform the official opening of our latest age friendly housing scheme last week.
An Chruachán consists of 6 no 2 bed A rated homes and is located at Pollerton Carlow, convenient to local amenities. The development has enhanced the streetscape turning a derelict site into beautiful homes for the elderly in our community.
We are deeply indebted to the support of Carlow County Council and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage in delivering these badly needed homes in the local community. The six homes were delivered at a cost of €1.2m.
Many thanks to residents, James Hutton and Mary Murphy who spoke glowingly of their homes to the assembled dignitaries.
We are also indebted to Fr. Tommy Dillon, Askea Parish, who performed the blessing of the homes for the residents.
