Tinteán have just opened their state of the art Teach Tinteán at Blackbog Grove, Carlow. Built at a cost of approx. €600,000. Teach Tinteán provides the highest standard of accommodation for it’s current four tenants and House parent.
Tinteán will go to tender shortly for our phase two development of Tinteán Carraig at Ballinacarrig. Phase Two will accommodate six special needs tenants and a House Parent. Phase Two will be built to PassivHaus standards and will be a landmark building in Carlow.
Significantly Tinteán has been approved for Certified Body Status with the Housing Finance Agency which means that we now have approved Borrower Status – only the fifth Association to meet the stringent criteria.
This positions Tinteán well in a much changed environment for the Voluntary Housing Sector to allow us access private finance. We are confident that we will take on the challenges before us to allow us continue to supply more housing for people in housing need.
